Punjab Pakora Food Processing Factory

Quantum Solutions is excited to share that we’ve been appointed as Quantity Surveyors and Project Managers for Punjab Pakora’s new food processing facility in Ayr.

The family-run business has been taking the industry by storm with a variety of pakoras – including their famous Irn Bru flavour – and supplying their range to big-name retailers like Aldi, Sainsbury’s and Iceland.

Launched in 2012 in Ayr, Punjab Pakora is sticking to its South Ayrshire roots with a new factory in Ayr’s Heathfield Industrial Estate to meet the growing demand for its products.

Planning permission to South Ayrshire Council has now been granted, meaning construction can begin on the site. Plans include creating new access from an unclassified road within the industrial estate, as well as an extensive facility that includes a commercial production area, parking facilities, and potential retail capabilities.

It’s planned that this new factory will allow the company to double its workforce from the current 42-strong team, meaning an influx of jobs in the area both during and post-production.

Quantum’s role as Project Manager and Quantity Surveyor will include overseeing key phases of the project, from initial planning to final construction and opening. We’ll be working closely with Punjab Pakora and project architects LMA to ensure the construction plan sticks to both budget and timeframe, continually providing support and expertise throughout the project lifespan.

We’re excited to see the project evolve following planning permission approval – keep your eyes peeled for future updates as Punjab Pakora continues to take Scotland by storm.
