Project: Stranraer Conservation Area Regeneration Scheme
Quantum Solutions Role: Quantity Surveyor
“Quantum Solutions Ltd has provided an exemplary service to Dumfries and Galloway Council supporting delivery of a range of building projects at Stranraer underway as part of the Conservation Area Regeneration Scheme, Scottish Government Regeneration Capital Grant Fund initiative and the Council’s Economic Development Capital Programme.
The principal project recently completed under these programmes has been the comprehensive renovation and extension of the historic Harbourmaster’s building which is an iconic landmark on the Stranraer waterfront. As part of the masterplan for redevelopment of Stranraer as a marine leisure tourism destination, the repair and extension of this building has been a key part of the strategic improvement of the waterfront.
Quantum Solutions has provided an extremely valuable and highly professional service throughout all stages of this project from developing costings to enable external grant funding applications, to advising on contractual matters regarding the construction phase, carrying out regular site inspections and producing valuations during the course of works, and preparing detailed final accounts to the high standards required by both the Council and external funding partners.
At every stage Quantum Solutions has provided a courteous, helpful and prompt service, always delivered in a positive and constructive manner. The Harbourmaster’s building project is just one example of a series of major regeneration projects at Stranraer which Quantum Solutions has supported over recent years and the service provided has consistently been excellent.”
