Distillery of the Year Award

Background

We’re thrilled to share that our valued client Isle of Arran Distillers has won the Scottish Whisky Distillery of the Year award, sponsored by Howden.

Working in partnership with Isle of Arran Distillers for almost ten years, this project is particularly close to the heart of the Quantum team.

We first began working together back in 2015 when we were appointed as Project Manager and Quantity Surveyor for the upcoming project. With various distillery experience in the past, we were excited to put this to use in an exciting new landscape.

Following a major planning application and public consultation managed by the Quantum team, works began to establish a bespoke procurement strategy that would benefit all parties involved in the project.

With the remote location in mind, we prioritised a collaborative working process at all stages of the project, ensuring the client and all team members were always engaged and aware of any risks or challenges that we may need to overcome. This approach allowed the project to progress consistently with momentum, and stick to key timescales and deadlines.

Of course this was a tremendous team effort, and we were thrilled to engage with multiple local Arran companies and organisations who were fully engaged with the project from the start, all working in collaboration to continuously elevate the status of the island.

Quantum’s extensive experience of working on distillery projects allows us the skillset and insight to produce the highest quality results. With various elements to be procured, co-ordinated and managed simultaneously – including the distillery hall, visitor centre and bonded warehouse – the importance of sharing our industry insights can’t be overstated.

We’re over the moon for the Isle of Arran Distillers team for achieving this significant award (swiftly followed by an Excellence in Branding Award too!), and are proud of the part Quantum played in creating a building that elevates the stunning landscape of the island.
